Six Sigma Essentials will provide the participant with the knowledge and skills necessary for understanding the key concepts that portray the essence and practice of Six Sigma.

Through the lectures, the participant will come to understand what Six Sigma is and how it can be used to increase shareholder value while simultaneously improving product and service quality -by any enterprise, of any type or size. In addition, the participant will gain a business, operations and process level of understanding of what it takes to deploy, implement and sustain Six Sigma.

This course is often used as an "all hands training" for the general population of an enterprising utilizing Six Sigma. In doing so, the organization ensures that all of its employees understand why Six Sigma is being utilized and how it will benefit the company.

The value focus course will provide each participant with the application-based knowledge and experience-driven principles that are required to develop a meaningful understanding of the systematic way in which value is created - for any type or size of enterprise.

This powerful knowledge platform is framed by the time-tested Six Sigma DMAIC problem solving strategy, but focuses its energy on how to identify, extend and exploit opportunities to create value - to the benefit of the customer and provider, concurrently. Furthermore, the participant will gain vital insights into how a value creation opportunity can be optimized and subsequently leveraged to produce quantum change in everything a business does or seeks to do, at any level of the enterprise.

In this context, the participant will discover how to identify and define a driving business need, leverage that need into a value creation opportunity, identify the driving and restraining forces that govern the opportunity and establish optimal operating conditions to exploit the opportunity. Students are also taught how to control variations that could potentially degrade the opportunity for value opportunities and maximize the chances of realization.

 

Business games aimed at teaching "First Line" employees the Way of Business. Both the games are applying the principles of cellular learning i.e.: The ability to "recognize" without having to refer to notes and/or handbooks.

* "Where did the money go?" This game focuses primarily on the fundamentals of business. It aims at clearly indicating the intricacies of managing finances in basic terms.

* "Buffalo Hunting" In this game participants are taught the purpose of business, the role of quality within business while also demonstrating the principles of variation.

 

In each of the above courses there is a reinforcement of major concepts, techniques and application is realized through exercises, scenarios and case studies. By way of these training methods the participant will gain tremendous insight into the logic and reasoning which underlies Six Sigma and the process of breakthrough improvement.
